First part of this stage is kinda spooky… abandoned places. Reminds me of this song https://youtu.be/6ukmjBSQY-c
I don’t know why this song stacked in my head for a while this morning…. I guess it reflected the current place and my mood.
However when sun came out, all it’s beauty came out.
Hikers level 70… a huge sloppy hill…
but… not everyone surveyed
This is the most beautiful stage and also the most challenging. Highest elevation of Camino Primitivo. Very rural and remote area with no service for miles and miles… During the Roman Empire this area was full of gold.
Montefurado is a unique village that just have one inhabitant. It has a hermitage devoted to Camino Primitivo, in the past it was pilgrims hospital.
Church devoted to Santa Maria. I prayed for my daughters 🙏
I’m staying tonight at a small mountain village called Berducedo, village belongs to Allende.
p/s. I met this guy today, he was such a gift! He is from Portuguese and this is his 6th (!!!) Camino. He helped me book places to stay for the next couple days by phone. Since I don't speak Spanish It’s such a hassle to contact local Albergues… no one responds to me because simply they don’t speak English…
he told me I can call him William 😁🙏
P/s. Funny things, at the dinner where all pilgrims gathered together, people were talking about life and what makes it great… people from Spain, German, Czech republic, Italy, US all agreed it is the relationship! Sharing things and experience. That what life is about. Sharing. 💞
You are on a wonderful and amazing journey!! What beautiful and scenic country you are experiencing!! I'm so looking forward to experiencing a little part of the way.
