The Primitivo way starts at San Salvador cathedral, a pre-Romanesque building of 9th century. I visited it this mornin.
It was very confusing to get out if the city… but finally I saw the shell and yellow arrow and found my way to the Sierra del Naraco mountain pass.
Walked about 12 miles today, didn’t make it to Grado because of late start and many breaks, couldn’t stop taking pictures 😁 got way too exited! This stage is very beautiful, goes between hills, villages, Asturias rural area.
Memories brought me about 30 years back when I spent summers with my cousin Tanya in her grandma’s Ukrainian village Morozovka. It smells here the same, clover, thyme, yarrow … amazing how I can remember it all… now Tanya lives in Greece and I’m in US… what a life ☺️
met Michelle from Denver and Iren from Valencia, Spain. Michelle showed us how to pour cider in Asturia 😁😋
I'm enjoying reading your updates. Thank you for finding time and energy (I can relate; there isn't any extra left after a day of walking) for posting!
Love the countryside!!
Beautiful landscape… very relaxing
