This is something I planned for September 2020, but it did not happen (“thanks” covid). I planed French route, Camino Frances, which I still want to do in 2023 for my 50th b-day. At this time, I will go Camino Primitivo, the original way, to discover the real roots of the pilgrimage...
WHY CAMINO PRIMITIVO?
1. In summer it’s going to be very hot in Spain, the Camino Primitivo is the northern way that goes through mountains and forest, not too many open spaces, so I hope it won’t be too hot.
2. I LOVE mountains and hiking, from what I have seen in YouTube, the Camino Primitivo is incredibly beautiful way!
3. It is shorter route than the Camino Frances I’ve planed before, so I’ll see how I do this one and plan for the French Way in May 2023 accordingly.
Camino Primitivo is about 320 km (about 200 miles) if I walk 12-16 miles per day I'll be able to complete it in 14 days. I am planning to take some "rest days" as well to enjoy historical sites and cities such as Oviedo, Lugo, Santiago de Compostela.
