Camino Portuguese Day 6, 4/24. Santarém to Azinhaga

Another day another way to walk out of town with medieval churches, through beautiful wineries and fields. Still flat… fields and villages.

P/s. i noticed that in most, if not all, churches here the Virgin Mary is at the head. I remember in all Paulo Coelho books I read he mentioned the same, Virgin Mary, not Jesus, is a main religious character.

Brunch with fellow Camino peregrines in the middle of somewhere 😄

It’s getting hot … and it’s only 80F today, but in a couple days it’s going to be hotter 90F and hills…

And the final destination for today - Casa das Portas is an oasis in Camino! About 60 bucks including dinner and breakfast next morning and voila I have a whole living room to myself!
