Tui and Valenca are just across the bridge that separates Portugal and Spain. It’s called International Bridge and was built in 19th century.
There is a very dramatic Tui cathedral in Romanesque and Gothic style built in 1120…
Walking into Redondela was quite nice with lots of sightseeing, pilgrims chapels, and much more pilgrims 😎
Redondela. Another Galician town with lots of history. It happened to be a notional holiday today - Galician Literature Day (nobody works 😳)
I took a train to Vigo to see my friends with whom I walked second Camino 2 years ago. Natalia sheltered me tonight 😁
And of course food 😆 I’ve got the famous Tart of Santiago and Russian salad and lots of seafood.
Next morning I took a train back to where I finished and continued my Camino. More pilgrims started in Tui, the last 100 km requested to receive the Compostela. Crowds in Camino 🤦♀️
Pilgrims are waiting to get into albergue
Pontevedra is the last town in Camino Portuguese central route, tomorrow I’ll take a detour and go spiritual way.
Wow! I’m so happy for you!
