Day 14th…🙄 I’m glad I am writing this blog daily so I can keep track of days. At this stage day after day are so look alike. Village after village, field after field. Lots of hills up and down, very hot days. It’s Portugal 🇵🇹!!!
The smell of eucalyptus forest and fields full of flowers are vertiginous! Can’t even explain it in words - it’s honey and eucalyptus in combination of wildflowers. Every day and everywhere! I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Spain smells different. Don’t see a lot of wineries anymore. I guess till Porto.
Small quiet town Agueda tonight. Even in a small towns and villages I am passing by there are a very good restaurants and coffee shops.
Tonight I had octopus for dinner in parring with local white wine. I was told there is also a green wine, that is made out of early green grapes and it’s very popular here in Portugal. But I wanted a fruity flavor instead of sharp savory flavor of green wine (why it would be popular I didn’t get it 🤷♀️) but I’ll have to try it. Next time though 😌
Met Australian couple Margaret and Raymond yesterday and today, but no new pilgrims…. Lots of self reflection 🙄
