Camino Portuguese Day 1-2. 4/19-4/20. Lisbon

With lots of flight delays I finally arrived to Lisbon, Portugal. First two days in Lisboa (Lisbon in Portuguese) exploring this beautiful historical city, trying delicious food, and acclimatize to local time zone.

View from my hotel room

Portuguese language sounds very similar to Spanish, only they add letter "h" everywhere. Like Camino - Caminho, marina - marinha šŸ™ƒ

Miradouros (viewpoints) are breathtaking here

The castle of Sao Jorge is dated back to the eleven century and has most spectacular views of the city.

Visigothic roots, Arabic influence and fishing port heritage influenced this old city. And lots and lots of Sun!

Here most buildings are tiled; itā€™s amazing how this a hundred years old tile never shade, what a quality!

Fado, the folk music of Lisbon rustic neighborhoods, is often called a Lisbon blues. Kinda sad lyrics about hard lifeā€¦ lost sailors, broken hearts, and bittersweet romance.

And of course... food, so delicious šŸ˜‹

Tomorrow I will start walking from the Se Cathedral where I get my credentials
