I visited a few cities here in Spain, exploring this beautiful country from the inside ☺️😉
Vigo
Marina and Natalia, whom I met on my second Camino, live in Vigo and I visited them for couple days.
Vigo is also in Galicia.
Galicia is one of Spain’s top seafood regions and many of its most famous dishes are based on fish or shellfish. I had a chance to try most of it in Santiago, Muxia, Finisterre, and Vigo.
A Coruna (or La Coruna)
Another coastal city, very pretty with lots of history. Interesting fact that Galicia is more relevant to Celtic Ireland, Scotland, Britain and Wales, then Spain, according to their culture.
The Gallaeci were originally a Celtic people who for centuries had occupied the territory of modern Galicia. They even have their own language.
Leon.
Leon is in Asturias, same as Oviedo where I started my Camino. This city is famous for its cathedral with rose windows and stained glass. Also it is one of main stops for pilgrims on French Way. One day I’ll walk this route ☺️😉
